A simple recipe for Crockpot BBQ Meatballs that uses 2 ingredients for the sauce, is full of flavor, and is perfect as a meatball appetizer or meal.
This crockpot BBQ meatball recipe can be made using frozen meatballs or homemade meatballs.

If you love meatballs, you're going to appreciate how easy these incredibly delicious crockpot meatballs are to make. There are only two ingredients in this crockpot BBQ meatballs sauce and they are common ingredients found in most store.
You can use your favorite frozen store-bought meatballs or you can make the meatballs from scratch using my meatball recipe.
This crockpot bbq meatball recipe makes the perfect appetizer. We've brought them to parties, potlucks, and BBQs. We've also enjoyed them as meatball sub sandwiches.
The extra flavor from the salsa give these meatballs the perfect balance of flavors.

You can use a store-bought gluten free bbq sauce or my gluten free bbq sauce recipe.
Ingredients in Crockpot BBQ Meatballs
- Frozen Meatballs or two batches of Homemade Meatballs
- BBQ sauce – we use Stubbs Original
- Salsa (or grape jelly if you want a sweeter BBQ sauce)
How to make Crockpot BBQ Meatballs
- Add the BBQ sauce and salsa (or grape jelly) in a slow cooker.
- Stir to combine.
- Add the meatballs and stir to coat the meatballs. Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on high for 3, stirring occasionally while they cook.
- Remove the lid and stir to coat the meatballs. Serve warm.

- If you use my gluten free meatball recipe, place the BBQ sauce and salsa (or jelly) into the crockpot and stir to combined. Add the raw, uncooked meatballs and carefully spoon the sauce over the meatballs to coat them. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours.
- If using frozen meatballs, make sure they are gluten free if you need to eat gluten free.
- Some bags of frozen meatballs are larger, you can add up to 40 oz. of meatballs without adding extra sauce.
- You can use your favorite BBQ sauce and Salsa in this bbq meatball recipe. Check labels before you purchase if you have food allergies or intolerances.

Stove top directions: If you don't have a slow cooker or a crockpot you can make this bbq meatballs recipe on the stove top. Place the BBQ sauce and salsa in a large stock pot. Add in the meatballs and toss to coat. Turn the heat to low and cook for 30-60 minutes, stirring often to prevent burning.
