Crockpot chicken and stuffing
Crockpot chicken and stuffing is a family favorite and for good reason! It is the perfect dump meal to prep early in the day that transforms into a family favorite by dinnertime. This is one of my go-to easy weeknight meals that I am constantly making time and time again.
This crockpot chicken is easily adaptable to the things your family loves! You can add vegetables to this dish as well as swap out the cream of chicken for another cream soup favorite (try cream of mushroom, it's delicious).
For other simple crockpot meals, you will want to give crockpot red bean and rice a try as well as our slow cooker chicken pot pie.
How to make crockpot chicken and stuffing
- Place chicken in the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the stuffing evenly over the top.
- In a bowl, add the cream of chicken, sour cream, and chicken broth. Mix to combine.
- Pour mix over the top of your stuffing. Spread evenly.
- Cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours, LOW for 5-6 hours
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- If you prefer to not use sour cream you can substitute it for plain Greek yogurt.
- To ensure your chicken and stuffing does not stick to the crockpot you might want to lightly spray your crockpot prior to adding your ingredients.
- If you prefer a crispier stuffing, remove the lid for the last 30 minutes of baking, this removes some of the condensation in the crockpot.
- You can add more chicken to this recipe if you would like.
Storage
Fridge
You will want to store your leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for up to three days.
To reheat you can do this in the microwave. If you want a crispy stuffing you can put it in the oven on broil for a minute or two to crispy it up. Just be sure to keep an eye on it as it cooks.
